Re: core_hw Events ??
Check /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log
There should be detailed info in there if not let me know.

SolutionYou probably already saw this: http://docs.hp.com/en/diag/ems/emd_ia64core.htm
Is there anything new in SEL that might be triggering these? The are a few fixes to this monitor for failing to log certain events, so you might want to update STM (SFM/EMS) to make sure everything is being logged properly.
Also you may want to check the other log files in /etc/opt/resmon/log/ to see if anything else indicates why the monitor is restarting.

Re: core_hw Events ??
http://docs.hp.com/en/diag/stm/stm_upd.htm
Consider to update!
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B6191AAE
The reason is probably this:
Previously this system was not responding to the monitor's query because
of one of the following reasons :
* system's name could not be resolved to IP address
* the network was down or the network response was poor
* the Online Diagnostic software was not present or was not running on
it
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
