disk firmware
I found some disk firmware upgrades at ftp.itrc.hp.com + where they applied to the disk models we are using, they helped reliability, but they did not have upgrades for all of the various disk models we are using. Does anybody know anywhere else I can look for upgrades for the rest of our disks?

Re: disk firmware
Hi Ron,
Unfortunately, most of the disks you have there are older types. This means that they can only be updated with an HP Restricted offline tool called DFDutil. You can get your local HP CE or ASE to do the update for you. I have listed the current revisions below. You can tell the diference between converged and non converged disks by running diskinfo on them. If the vendor ID id HP then the disk is converged. You Must use the correct version of the firmware, EVEN IF THE STxxxxxx PRODUCT NUMBER IS THE SAME!
ST173404LC, 73GB non-converged HP05, converged HP02
ST373453LC, 73GB Converged only HPC4
MAS3735NC, 73GB No new FW
ST318404LC, 18GB non-converged HP06, converged HP03
MAJ3182MC, 18GB Unsure
DMVS18D, 18GB non-converged only HP08
DMVS09D, 9GB non-converged only HP08
ST39236LC, 9GB non-converged only HP05
ST39204LC, 9 GB non-converged only HP06
ST39173WC, 9 GB very old drive, don't know revision,
For the revisions I don't know check with your HP CE
