The instructions are included with the download. Be sure to follow the instructions exactly amd make certain that you download the correct firmware for your platform. Fox example, if you install D250 firmware on your D-380, you have just created a paperweight. As long as you are careful, this process is quite safe. I would also make certain that each box is running on a UPS.

search first for OS installable firmware (rp5470) it is easier to install, if not available change the type to cpu.
