Re: frimware updation

Hi,

I am not sure for K200. But for my rp54xx servers the PDC firmware is available in a OS patch. On installing this the machine will reboot and after reboot it will bootup with new firmware.

Re: frimware updation

Hello,

Installing new firmware (compatible) in K200 won't affect the existing OS. New firmware will be thoroughly tested and confirm all standards.

Re: frimware updation

The current firmware for your K200 server can be found here:

http://www5.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.search|&patchid=PF_CKHK0029&context=firmware:cpu

This is version 2.9. Please read and follow the instructions. You have to create a tape and from from it to update the firmware (PDC). There won't be an impact to the OS after the upgrade.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: frimware updation

BTW, this is the "easiest" procedure, because it's the only one for this model.

Hope this helps!
