I hv an RP7420 box in which GSP time stamp is showing old date(2005 as the year).Is there anyway to check gsp battery power? What are the precuation to be taken while replacing the battery? Box has got only one partition.

you could login to MP:CM> then execute PS command and select the GSP card..check for the status

you should have had a "GSP battery low" event message, but if it died in 2005...

I doubt you have aproblem witht he battery, but a volt meter is the best way to check? should be near 3 volts
The time stamp date will just be updated when you get an error, or system problem. 2005 was probably just the last time you had an event
