Re: halting power on rp4440
But wath you want to do?
You want to turn off the server or the operanting system?
with PC you don't change nothing in gsp you only turn off your server.
with shutdown command you turn off your operating system

Re: halting power on rp4440
on my other rp boxes the power goes to standby when the os is shutdown with the -h option.
so in affect i'm trying to find a config somewhere that put's the power to standby,(shutting down main fans etc...) when issuing the shutdown -h command. like all my other hp boxes.

Re: halting power on rp4440
IMHO, this could be fatal if there are multiple n/vpars. The only thing you can do is to power on/off use the GSP/MP/iLO commands PC or PE.
BTW, you can shutdown and power off some systems by pressing the power button (e.g. most of the workstations).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: halting power on rp4440
To power the rp44x0 systems down you need to hold the button in for 5seconds on the front panel.
This is the only way to completely shut it down, unless you pull the power cord!

Re: halting power on rp4440
This is normal. All three of the 4440's I have worked on had had to be powered off from the GSP or the button up front.
