haw can I setting up processor

Hi,
I have rp5450 server with two CPU 550 Mhz
I changed them with 4 others of 440 Mhz
When I did it the system did not work properly
It said I want to change an uncompatible CPU.
Must I setting up some jumpers ?
Where can I fing the service manual of rp5450.

Don't think you can change some jumper settings. Try with your local HP CE.

Hi there,

You've using 2 cpu's with this configuration you only need CPU Support Module 0, if you put all 4 CPU's you'll need 2 CPU support Modules, have you installed them?

Resuming for 0-2 CPU's you need 1 PSM, more than 2 you'll need 2 PSM.

Hi,

make sure you do have enough support proccessors for the cpus.Also the switch settings for 440 proc is 1,4,5 on 2,3 off

I setup the jumper 1,4,5 are on and 2,3 are off
When I start the server I dont find any message.
Nothing happend.

Are you sure you have an L-2000?Also try this setting 1,5 on 2,3,4 off.Also make sure you unplug the power before you change the settings.

I had a similar issue a couple months ago and this will definately help now and later!

SW1- NVRAM clear (SHOULD ON OR IN THE UP POSITION; OFF OR DOWN MEANS 'CLEAR NVRAM')
SW2- PROCESSOR SPEED (THE NUMBERS LISTED ARE THE SMALL SWITCHES TO BE UP OR ON)
550MHz- 1,4,5,7,8
650MHz- 1,3,4,5,7
750MHz- 1,4,5,7
875MHz- 3,5,7
SW3- PROCESSOR POWER (THESE ARE NORMALLY ALL IN OFF OR DOWN POSITION)
