how to connect the laptop to HpUX server

I have a lptop which is having serial port, and i want to connect it to one of the HPUX rp3440 server which has sitting remotely. How it is possible? Please explain me step wise. Thanx in advance for everybody...

Hi,

for a serial connection use a (null modem) cable and connect to the PC and the server port labeled "console".

Start an emulation program (putty/hyperterminal) with 9600 speed and connect. Finally press CTRL b to get access to the MP.

If you ILO (MP) is configured you can access your console through the LAN
