hp9000 700/800 and hp-unix doc

I want to learn about hp 9000 700/800:

1.I want to get some doc. about 700/800 series machine
2.On which 700/800 support which kind of pa-risc or ia.
3.and the hp-unix os ,which version can support which kind of 700/800 series machine

hi,

There is alot of answers to your 3 questions but this is a basic answer

700 series are workstations
800 series are servers

700 series machines are pa risc
800 series are the older systems are parisc and newer either parisc or ia depending upon age.

again depending upon the age of the system is dependane upon which operating system version is supported.

And there not really classed as 700/800's any more

workstations B/C/J classs etc
servers RP2400/RP5400/RP8400 etc

700's are from when they were 712/715/747
800's from when they were 817/827/847 era

you will find all you want to know about the series and what hpux version they support here
