kernel LPMC type : D-Cache Parity Error in rp2470

kernel LPMC type : D-Cache Parity Error.this error comes while working , but not too often.
It seems Patch PHSS_30726 needs to be installed for PDC Firmware, the same patch is also not installed in the server.Should I go for the Patch Installation...., Can I have some update regarding this ....

If there is excessive log regarding the parity error as mentioned, it is worthwhile to call HP Support because you might have a defective (or soon to be) CPU(s).

see, there is no such excessive log, it comes once in a week or month. in this case is it advisible to install patch for suppressing furture errors.

which firmware revision is the server on? 42.19?

if so, i will go for the stated patch, 43.50 firmware patch. i bet HP will also advise that.

Something is wrong with the hardware but it was not serious enough to force a crash (HPMC).

So, I'd find the problem with diagnostics, cstm, mstm xstm or other tools of choice before the situation escalates.

The PDC Firmware version is 43.24, any solutions for this....

hi venk,

check which CPU is getting this error first by using stm. run some information to gather the error/s. refer to HP support if the error warrants some hardware changes.


applying the firmware revision, 43.50 is up to you but i will advise updating it to the latest, i.e. 43.50.
