I am triying to figure out, if my server is able to boot from lan for a ignite restauration, from i have seen it depends on the card and the pdc version, but i can't find what versions are required, i am looking here:

but i cant find the info :?

my pdc version is 42.19

and the lan card is a core io, usind the btlan3 driver:

Jus try to boot from a local ignite server. The PDC also covers the firmware part of the NIC.

Hope this helps!

Latest PDC version is 43.50 for your system (it is from 2003).

There are a lot of changes compared to your version, but nothing direct related to a LAN boot.

As long as you have the core I/O and the ignite server in the same subnet everything should work. You may also consider to use the "2 step procedure" - boot from an install CD and restore from net/tape via the advanced option menu.

Hope this helps!
