Re: locate DIMM error on RP5470

hi,

you only need to replace the single dimm in 0a slot, not both unless you want to do.

The single bit errors are with this dimm only, but the log list them as a pair as they work together.

you also need to clear the PDT table when you reboot after changing the dimm

Re: locate DIMM error on RP5470

hi,

When you reboot the server, stop it from booting past BCH.

the bit where you have 10seconds to stop booting, and can select what you want to boot, and search for boot devices and such like.
You can also check the memory is seen correctly after changing it here too

MA>in me

will list the memory dimms installed

Then enter this command

MA>ser pdtclear

or navigate to the service menu and issue the command

MA>ser
SER>pdtclear

This will reset the counter

Then boot up as normal

Also, you PDC firmware is not upto date, the newer version allow for upto 256 errors not 50 like your version. It might be worth considering this. There is a requirement to update the diagnostics though as well, if you do this PDC update
