memory from a SUN v440

Hi,

We have a hpux server:
uname -a
HP-UX metbkp01 B.11.11 U 9000/800 605369313 unlimited-user license
model:9000/800/N4000-55

It has 1gb of memory:
FRU Name.............: DIMM_256 0x20202020 20202020 44494d4d 5f323536
Part Number..........: A3763-60001 0x41333736 332d3630 303031
Serial Number........: A56E02224153 0x41353645 30323232 34313533

Would memory from a SUN solaris V440 be compatible with the hpux server?
Sun memory: 512mb DDR PC2100 CL2.0 ECC
PC2100R-20330-M0

Thanks for your help,
RS

And even if it were compatible, using it would be unsupported...

If you are unable/unwilling to pay HP prices for RAM for the N4000, then you might try some of the third-party folks like Kingston.
