memory replacment
Hi ,
We have rp7420 server and there are two physical partition in it . we are planning to upgrade the memory in one physical server. my query is , do i need to bring down the whole physical server or particular partition i have to bring down for memory replacment.

You only need to bring down the partition that has the cell board that you want to install the memory into.
Just be sure you understand what cell belongs in what partition. The default was that partition 0 used cell 1. Use the MP command CP to view this. Use the PE command to power off the cell you are upgrading. Use the PE command again to power it on. Wait about 30 seconds and use the RS command to reset the partition as a whole.
