memory 16x2GB => 32GB
Since memory usage is abovr 95 % we are planning to increase memory to 48 GB
since all the memory slots are filled what is the best way to increase 48 or 64 GB

Re: memory upgrade
Memory must be installed in groups of four DIMMs, also known as quads.
Each quad must consist of equal density DIMMs
Memory can be ordered in quads of 1 GB (4Ã 256MB), 2 GB (4Ã 512MB), 4 GB (4Ã 1GB), 8 GB (4Ã 2GB), or 16 GB (4x4GB) Minimum memory is 1 GB (4Ã 256 MB)
Maximum memory is 128 GB, using eight 16 GB memory quads in memory carrier board A9739B
Memory must be loaded in the order depicted on the memory carrier board.
Arrange DIMMs so that the quads with the largest capacity are in the lowest numbered slots.

Re: memory upgrade
While adding memory is probably always a good idea, are you having any performance problems?
Do you want to put more of a load on the system?
Are you getting out of swapspace errors?
What does "swapinfo -tam" show?
What HP-UX version are you using?
(You do know the whole purpose of an OS is to make sure memory is 100% used, for cache and other things.)

Re: memory upgrade
That'll be a good reason to add memory if you are doing lots of paging.
Right now you don't seem to be using any device swap. Can you get that swapinfo when it's busy?
