We still have a model Hp900 D279
We would like to see the console
message (there is no console attached,
we use DSVIEW)
Anyway I tried ctrl-B but it does not respond. Is there no console menu for
this hardware ?
Where can I find documentation for this model.
Tx

SolutionThe D class servers have the console port on the back, as you are well aware. But to get to the CTRL-B functionality, the server had to have an IO card installed that suppplied it. This card was called an AP card, I forget what that stands for. It would have a small black switch on the bulkhead, one way was for SERVICE and the other NORMAL. Service mode would give you ctrl-b functions.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck - Tim
