does anyone know the TPC-C of HP rp4440 and IBM p650? thanks!

ww.tpc.org would only have TPC-C scores that vendors have submitted there, and those are the only scores that can be discussed in public.

in private, under NDA, with a sales rep, other things may be possible.

you might look for other benchmarks as well - SPEC stuff at www.spec.org for example.

Even if they were published, you don't want to compare HP-UX and Oracle, versus AIX and db2. I don't see either the rp4440 or the IBM p650. I would expect per processor performance to be close, so maybe you may want to consider other factors, like the ability to upgrade to next generation processors (pa-8900 or Itanium). Ask IBM if their p650 can be easily upgraded in the box to the Power5, or Itanium.
