pin-out for k420

I have a k420 and I want to use terminal server connection to it, using a 9-pin connector. Does anyone knows what should be the pin-out for my connector?
Thanks

Re: pin-out for k420

Usually a null-modem cable would do this.

I have a serial-cross cable, and i succesfully used it.

Just TX and RX crossed, you can find them in the cisco boxes or in the switch boxes, they are freely sheeped there.

Re: pin-out for k420

If you're using a terminal server, the connection to the K class would likely be ethernet to the NIC. If using what windows calls Terminal server, then..

if the terminal is going to the db-9 connecter on the server, then just the standard rs-232 for db-9. pinout.

Pins 2, 3 and 7. ( xmit, recv and ground) is the minimum, crossing 2 and 3 in the cable.

you'd need to jumper rts and cts in the cable on both ends, to satify hardware handshake, if used, or go with xon xoff on the terminal setup.

Yes, as the diagram illustrates, Pin 7 is signal ground on db-25's, not db-9.
