Re: problems loading framebuf driver into kernel
What other cards do you have in this system, and what version of HPUX are you running?

Re: problems loading framebuf driver into kernel
I've got a fibre card (A3591B) HSC/GSC connect, internal SCSI card (diff), 3 hot swappable hard disks, MUx (i don't know which type - as I have no need for this card). I'm running HPUX v11.11 (which I just installed last week).
I've also recently replaced the memory board as there was a DIMM slot missing. This system has one processor and I've got 1GB of RAM installed.

Re: problems loading framebuf driver into kernel
When I installed the O/S, all the appropriate patches, etc... were installed at the same time (if that helps any).

Re: problems loading framebuf driver into kernel
what do you suggest i do with this vid card then? Since I can't get ioscan to actually see the device, I can't get sam to configure it (sam reports there are no graphics cards installed). I do have a converter cable from EVC to allow me to connect a pc type monitor up to this system. I've been hyperterm and telneting into the system to use it. I can continue to use these ways to work with this system, but.....

Re: problems loading framebuf driver into kernel
Do you have all of the graphics drivers installed? graph3 is necessary to use a graphics card.
Just to make sure, you have the A4450A in the top 'turbo' HSC slot, correct?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've been really busy. So, here is the output from the ioscan command.
