"Saving" rp8400 complex configuration info for easy restoration

Q: I have several jr sysadmins who'd like to "play" w/2 rp units that I have as "spares". It's been several years since I took the N/Vpar RAIL course, but I seem to remember that there was some way to create a machine readable file that could be used to restore the npar config in a complex once someone has executed the "CC" cmd from the GSP command menu. As an aside, isn't there also something similar for restoration of the vpar config on any given NPAR as well.

Thanks.

Hi Joe,

you can use "CC" to restore the last config.

more details here:

http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5991-1132/ch06s03.html

For both (npar/vpar) the config isn't really difficult to create, so save and store the config in your documentation.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
