Which interface? lan0 or do you mean the MP?

If you mean the MP - then yes, from the Command Menu, CM, type HE to get a list of commands...LC to configure Lan Cards.

Which interfaces IP address? If you are talking about the regular NIC in the machine, then no those can not be accessed via the MP.

The only LAN interface the MP can access is its own.

Only way from MP - is to access the console CO, then login locally as root.

Then either manually re-configure lan0 or use sam.

Re: reset the interface’s IP address from the MP console

HI Bunty,

If you are planning to change the IP address of lan0, one of the possible 2 ways is to connect to MP via LAN and then go to console.

From there, modify the IP address of LAN0. the other possible way is to access the local console (Through dumb terminal or laptop) and perform the same action.

Doing so will not disconnect your session, but will disconnect users who have already logged-in through telnet or rlogin.

In your first post you are asking about "reset". If you want to reset the LAN0, then the above reply is still applicable.

Hope this helps.

With regards,
Mohan.
