I cannot reset RP8420's MP/GSP.
[geronimo:root]/#stty +queryGSP GSP needs to be reset.
[geronimo:root]/#stty +resetGSP GSP reset failed.
Any idea ?

SolutionIf that does not work, thing about booting the system. This probably won't help because GSP controls the system but is almost not part of the system.
There could however be a hung process that is peventing the reset from working.
You can use mstm/cstm or xstm to check the hardware. If the hardware fails you need to call hardware and get them to replace the GSP card.
They have no moving parts, but they do fail once in a while.

Acces the MP console trough Network (if you can !) then issue commande XD under CM Menu and reset master MP card.
If you can't acces the MP Console through Network you must connect directly at the serial port.
