Re: resetting GSP password
Hi Binu,
if you run the command
# stty +resetGSP < /dev/GSPdiag1
from the console, a message like
"press 'p' within 5 sec to reset all user accounts"
should come up.

Robert-Jan

Re: resetting GSP password
Another method is to hold down the GSP reset button for several seconds. The same message will appear on the console.
The button location depends on the server. For instance the L class GSP reset button is located behind the PCI card cage cover. On this server this process can be a bit of a pain.

Re: resetting GSP password
hi,
there a few ways to do this depending upon the server.
Some servers have the gsp reset button visible on the back of the server and some like the L class have the button on the card inside the server. pressing this will put the gsp back to defaults as will removing the battery for a short while from the gsp card.
Or if its configured in unix then this can be done as already posted.
You will have to be near the console directly attached though to prees the key when prompted. This bit cannot be done remotely
