rp2470 will not boot with "incompatible processors" message?

I have an rp2470 with 2x750MHz processors in it. The system, which used to boot fine, will no longer boot with the following message displayed:

ERROR: A fatal error has occurred- system cannot boot.
Review warning messages in the Information menu.
Boot terminated.

When I check the Info Menu I see the following warning:

WARNING: The system contains an incompatible mix of processors.

The processors have not changed. The system was moved, but nothing had come loose (I have re-seated the processors). Does anyone have any idea what is wrong, or am I looking at a dead processor?

Cheers,
Eamon.

Hi Eamon,

I'd log a HW call to the Response Center. You probably either have a firmware problem or a main board problem. I think if the monarch CPU is dead the msg would reflect that.

You could try swapping the positions of the CPUs in the system; this would test jeff's theory of the dead monarch processor.

Also, make sure all the VRM (the boards near the front of the server by the disk drive slots) are all seated correctly.
