rp3410 I/O Slots

We have a couple of rp3410 servers that we use for our Ignite servers. On the rp3410's it is my understanding that you only have access to two (2) of the I/O Expansion slots in the back unless they have had some sort of upgrade done to enable all four (4) slots.

Have can i tell if I have access to all four (4) of these slots or not on the server ?

Re: rp3410 I/O Slots

Hi,

according to this document you can only use 2 slots:

http://www.hp.com/products1/servers/entry_level/index.html

If you need more, you need to upgrade the system.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

I know I have one other server that says it's an rp3410, but is using three (3) of the four slots, one for a Quad NIC card and two for Fibre cards.

Hi,

If its had the upgrade to a RP3440 you should be able to tell from the model command

#model

As the model should be updated by the Hp engineer.

Also by the info command at pdc
