Hi All,
Need your help to clear this out:-
rp3410, P/N: A9954A supports upto 12 DDR registered ECC memory in PC2100 DIMMs. Supported DDR DIMM sizes: 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1 GB.
Query 1: Why is maximum memory capacity mentioned as 6 GB? Why not 12 DIMM Slots x 1 GB DIMMs = 12 GB supported?
Query 2: The HP 9000 rp3410 and rp3440 User Service Guide refers to models A7136A (which supports DIMMs in pairs) and A7136B (which supports DIMMs in quads). Nothing is mentioned about the A9954A
Query 3: Will the A9954A support 2 x 512 MB with only DIMMs in socket 0A and 0B?
Thanks in advance

1 GB option consists of 4Ã 256 MB DIMMs, and 2 GB option consists of 4Ã 512 MB DIMMs..."
Hope this helps!

Re: rp3410 memory expandability
Hi Torsten
Thanks again! it will support 2 x 512 MB DIMMs. So the quads requirement was w.r.t. 256 MB DIMMs only, before 12-8-2004.
