rp5400 - GSP remote port

Hi there,

I have a rp5400 (L1000) with a revision A GSP (the old TOSCA one). Connected to the GSP I have a W-cable.
Now my question: which baud rate is the remote modem port capable to do?
I know that the HP supported baud rates for console and remote port are 19200 - I need to know what baud rate it is (or might be) capable to do.
Does anyone know or even has a source stating that?

Thank you a lot in advance!!!

Re: rp5400 - GSP remote port

Hi Charlie,

I believe the port would only be able to run at 19200 baud max. It would not have been intended for faster use as it's only usage is for a remote modem.

If you really need a fast serial port then I'd suggest a PCI mux card, the A6748A is a replacement for the J3592A. It's an 8 port mux that can be used up to 230,400 bps.

Darren.

Re: rp5400 - GSP remote port

Hi,

This U can check from GSP prompt. ^B Type He for help on communication port. I think CA is the command for configuring the Baud rate speed of the remote port.
