rp5405 model

Hi there,

How can I check the available PCI slot by command in server model rp5405 without physical access the server.

rp5405 system has a total of 10 PCI I/O slots available. To find out number of avaiable slots, run either one of this command and look how many are currently occupied:

# print_manifest (very detailed and structured information)
# ioscan -fn
# cstm (map command on the prompt)

For eg: On display, if it shows 3 I/O (SCSI, Network card etc) cards currently occupied, you will have 7 slots free.

Hi,as far as I know some model of L-Class do not support 10 slots.Do rp5405 support all slots too like rp5470?

yes, the rp5405 supports 10 PCI slots.

Simon,

Many folks don't know this yet but you can use "rad -q" on your 11.11 system...

It will show you the actual PCI slots vis a vis the H/W path... ioscan -kfn will show you what are on the H/W paths...
