Re: rp5470 CPU upgrade

hi,

your PDC version is 43.12 or 44.12? 44.12 happens to be the latest firmware for rp5470.

also, u may like to do something about your assignment of points. 2 out of 102 (and counting) is not good.

show your appreciation to those who have assisted u in finding your answers.

Re: rp5470 CPU upgrade

I believe you need to set the dip switches on your system board to tell the server you have 875 CPUs.

Re: rp5470 CPU upgrade

Hi,
Set the dip switches for the correct speed!
The settings are as below for 875.

357 = on
12468 = off

Re: rp5470 CPU upgrade

There is also a configuration setting that only HP has access to that must be set to tell the system that it has the higher speed cpus, called Model String. The access to the command is encrypted.

Re: rp5470 CPU upgrade

hi,

You will need to set the dip switch settings as previously stated. This will enable the system to run at the 875mhz and will be reported as that.
It sounds like at the moment your underclocking them.
