rp7400 firmware

All,

I am going to be upgrading two rp7400/n4000-36 to hpux 11i, where is the correct documentation to determine the gsp firmware revisions and upgrade procedures?

Thanks,

Jeff

Re: rp7400 firmware

The firmware should be 41.02 or higher. If it needs to be upgraded, call HP and schedule.

To dtermine the PDC firmware value;
echo "selclass type proc;info;wait;infolog" | cstm | grep 'PDC Firmware'

By the way, the most current version is 43.43.

Re: rp7400 firmware

Jeff,

If the rp7400 is currently installed with 11.0 you can also install patch:

PHSS_29938 11.0
PHSS_29939 11.11

Re: rp7400 firmware

PF_CCANGSPB0220 is what you want for your GSPs.

If the currently installed firmware is older than B.02.15 then updating to GSP firmware revision B.02.20 requires updating to B.02.15 first.

B.02.15 is PF_CCANGSPB0215.

Your HP CE will be happy to upgrade your systems. 1-800-633-3600.

If you have other than a B revision then further research will be in order.

Good Luck!
