I'd like to upgrade rp7420 firmware from 21.3 to 24.1 but I also see other posting that they are upgraded from 3.1 to 3.3.
Is there two firmware in RP7420?

Re: rp7420 Firmware upgrade
Your installed bundle is version 2.
Latest version is version 4.1.
But be careful! Either read all the release notes of the bundle or (this is what I would suggest: ) contact your hp support.
Doing things wrong may result in a "dead" system!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: rp7420 Firmware upgrade
I will ask HP to help me.
What do I need to prepare for firmware upgrade by myself?
Thanks,
Jeongbae

Re: rp7420 Firmware upgrade
Do I need to apply OS patch first?

Re: rp7420 Firmware upgrade
;-)
The server itself is very similar to his brother, the Interity, who can run hp-ux, windows, vms and linux.
But anyway, some hp-ux features (have a look at vPars!) do depend on the firmware directly.
I assume (yes I do), if you have "only" version 2 your OS patch status *may* be old too.
It may be a good idea to check the status ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
