rp7420 cell cant boot without error

Hello,

please help me to solve this "puzzle"
the story:
An rp 7420 is down for weeks ago, before this the machine was up and running functional as a normal server.
Nowdays I like to startup again, but cant boot up.
Logon to console, pe T - cabinet power ok,
pe c - it seems like ok, but when you double check the power status of the cell its off.

The machine config is 1 cell brd,2 processor with 6Gb memory.
I try with minimal config 1 cell,1proc, 1Gb mem. Same error.
Try in other cell slot, same error.
Try with a new cell brd, same error.
Try with 2 cell brd in 2 cell slot 1-1proc, 3-3GB mem.same error.

So if you got any info that I can use for boot this server up, please help me.

ps:the attachment files are the system log files. (SL/SEL/L)

Thanx in advance:Peter

Re: rp7420 cell cant boot without error

Hi Peter,

Do you ever find out the root cause of the server crashed?

From the logs you sent, HKP_UNDERVOLTAGE usually you have a problem either with the PDH or the VRM on the system backplane or your power source.

First thing you should do is check your power source, whether it is good or not. Check the voltage grounding. if it is good, call hp for them to check the hardware.

Sandy
