Re: rp7420 firmware update

Hi Robert-Jan,

Thanks for your prompt response. I am a little confused on upgrading version 3.1 to 3.3. Is it the same procedure as going from 3.2 to 3.3?

CAUTION: When updating from a version prior to 3.2, read the version
3.2 release notes carefully. Failure to update FPGAs with
48V power on, followed by updating System Firmware files with
48V power off may place your system in an unrecoverable state!

I can understand this 48V power on/off? What is this for? Please explain details.

Best regards,
Mostafa

Re: rp7420 firmware update

BTW, for these systems (if you have a HP support contract) it is advisable to ask an engineer to upgrade your server
