rp7420 firmware
we have an rp7420 server. we will do a firmware upgrade.
on the mp -> cm menu
sysrev command shows the following about SFW component
Cell 0
PDHC : A.003.027
Pri SFW : 22.002 (PA)
Sec SFW : 23.001 (PA)
Cell 1
PDHC : A.003.027
Pri SFW : 22.002 (PA)
Sec SFW : 23.001 (PA)
fw command shows the following about SFW component:
4 0 SFW 0 0 320 23.001 -
6 0 SFW 1 0 321 23.001 -
sysrev shows Pri SFW and Sec SFW by Cell with different versions. but fw shows one SFW component per CEll.
i guess that Pri SFW and Sec SFW should be at the same level of version. but fw command don't let us to upgrade Pri SFW and Sec SFW.
is there a problem ? what should i do ?

Re: rp7420 firmware
What you are seeing is normal, and is the desired way the system should work. The system can have two versions of the firmware, Pri & Sec, which allows you to back-rev your firmware in case of a problem after you upgrade. The system is smart enough that it will normally try to load the highest rev first, whether it is the Pri or Sec location. If you have a problem, you can go back into the FW command and back-rev.
