rp8400 partition stops booting
1 partition stops until this message
td: claimed Tachyon XL2 Fibre Channel Mass Storage card at 1/0/1/0/0
td: claimed Tachyon XL2 Fibre Channel Mass Storage card at 1/0/2/0/0
td: claimed Tachyon XL2 Fibre Channel Mass Storage card at 1/0/8/0/0
td: claimed Tachyon XL2 Fibre Channel Mass Storage card at 1/0/12/0/0
System Console is on the Built-In Serial Interface
and on the VFP screen for this partition it shows the following:
PARTITION STATUS: E indicated error since last boot
Partition 1 state Activity
------------------ --------
HPUX Launch Processor display_activity update 4688 Logs
# Cell state Activity
- ---------- --------
1 Cell has joined partition
The number on before the logs keeps on increasing,
How can I make this system boot? there's no error messages being displayed. How can I check those logs?
Thank you

Re: rp8400 partition stops booting
Check the power status of all the cell boards. Especially core cell which is normally cell0. If core cell is powered off or failed then system won't boot since boot disks connected to cell0.

Re: rp8400 partition stops booting
check MP logs via the SL menu. If the system does not respond for a longer time, check whether you can reboot into a single user mode, examine OS logs for potential errors. If you don't discover the cause, open a call with HP.

Re: rp8400 partition stops booting
Is it possible to change the assignment of Part/Cell, eg Part 1 to cell 0, and Part 0 to cell1?
