rx4640 - processor 3 error help.

From the EFI all processors are 'installed and configured' under the MP config menu, but not under hpux os (ex, top: cpu0, cpu1, cpu2).

Attached is the dmesg output. Note the processor deallocation at the end.

Any comments appreciated.

Re: rx4640 - processor 3 error help.

Is this perhaps an ICOD processor? Does /etc/rc.log show anything for ICOD software?

Re: rx4640 - processor 3 error help.

I checked the rc.log and this is the only ref to ICOD. I can attach the entire log if needed.

Initialize capacity on demand
Output from "/sbin/rc2.d/S602icod start":
----------------------------
"/sbin/rc2.d/S602icod start" SKIPPED

does this help any?

Re: rx4640 - processor 3 error help.

Steven,
The dmesg output shows errors, which I wouldn't expect if this were an ICOD CPU. I think there is an issue here, and I would recommend that you call HP Support.

Re: rx4640 - processor 3 error help.

I agree with Timmy, all the MCA lines appear to be indicating a problem with the processor. Are there any other errors before the section you've quoted?

Is there anything shown in the STM info log for the system, or in the event.log file from the HW monitors? (event.log is in /var/opt/resmon/log).
