Hi,
I just got in an rx7640 it came in without any os loaded.I have tried to load 11.i ver 2 os but the machine does not see the dvd drive. It also has a raid card in it.I have tried different dvd drives and different os's.When I go to the efi shell to select boot to the removable media it is not an option there.I even went to the boot configuration and the only option there to add is the efi shell.

Re: rx7640

1. Start the Boot option maintenance menu from the main menu.
2. Select " Add a Boot Option"
3. Select a volume. In this case, you select the Removable Media.
4. Enter your new description as 'Load DVD Media'. Select No boot option. Then save the changes to VNRAM.
5. Exit to the main menu and check the boot option. Your new option is added.

Re: rx7640

Hello Jon,

Can you tell us, when looking at the DVD bays, is it in the upper slot or lower slot.
If its in the upper slot then the address would be 1/0/0/3/1.2.0 (you may have a tape in this bay)
If its in the lower slot then the address will be 0/0/0/3/1.2.0
(well i think i'm right anyway)
Depending on which slot it is in, then it will be "owned" by either Cell0 or Cell 1.
Depending on both which slot it is in, and which cell is your core cell, then it may be the case that its not on the same bus as the core cell - hence not "visible"
