user remote login process
I do not clearly know about the user remote logining into the hp-unix server:
1./etc/profile
2.~/.profile
3.~/.cshrc
how the system give the login windows?
how the system give the term like telnet /dev/pts/1?
when the system give the login interface?

Re: user remote login process
When a user logs into a unix system, the following occurs
the /etc/profile by all users logging in
this applys system wide environment variables
then the ~/.profile is read for only the user logging in.
this allows you to customize a users environment to the users requirements
if the users are coming in via a graphical connection, the ~/.dtprofile is used instead of ~/.profile
If you come up to run level 3 the dtlogin process is started automatically. This allows users to log in with a GUI i.e Hummingbird or Reflections
