using GSP to get on a rp5470

Hello,
we are installing a HP rp5470. I have used telnet to get access to the GSP. After I logged in using the root password I tried to get write access. I got the message ´Read only use ˆEcf for consol write access´.
So what I am doing is to press the ALT-key together with the e-key, then released the ALT-key and press the c-key and f-key. Is this correct, because I´ll get the same message again. Perhaps the problem is the German keyboard we are using?

You need to use keyboard sequence
with release , type and then .
