Re: verify error log of GSP

Hi,
Do you get any console messages when trying to boot ?

Have you tried any alternate boot device ?

Re: verify error log of GSP

It looks like a hardware error probably on the backplane. make a hardware call by HP the will know excatly which hardware it is.

Re: verify error log of GSP

hi,

check this doc, sounds like hardware problem with backplane/scsi

Re: verify error log of GSP

What this is saying that the system is having problems configuring PCI slot 03. Now in the A500 this is path 0/6/2 and is the middle PCI slot.

Do you have anything in this slot that may cause the problem?

Are there any further alerts?

When you have a source of 8 and a detail of 3 you can look to the Physical Location and determine the slot # by the second set of codes: FF03FF83 The 03 here shows the IO slot in this example.

Re: verify error log of GSP

Oops...now I see that your second post shows slot 01 as being reported as well. Perhaps you are having a problem with the IO backplane?

Remove power from server and try reseating any cards installed and then reseat the entire IO cage.

If still no luck remove all cards from PCI slots and try.

After that I would replace the IO backplane itself if you have that option.

Re: verify error log of GSP

Panuwat,
The I/O cardcage is the likely culprit. I have seen this type of error before. You need to reseat the cardcage. To do this, you will want to be sure to use static prevention and be certain that the server is unplugged from A/C power.

See pages 247-250 of this document for the procedure to follow. http://docs.hp.com/en/2411/rp24xx_customer.pdf

Best of luck.

If you have a support contract, you can access a knowledge document for the identical problem. Search KBQA00000523. Or you can search your chassis code 0x2000006683FF2164 with the ITRC search function and few old ITRC forum messages you can find.

I also think your problem is the IO problem and IO backplane or the system board may have the problem.
