Hi Jon,
I don't see why not.
What SAN switches are you using? Have you taken a look at the SAN Design and Reference Guide? I don't think that 4Gb switches are supported.

I see the HBA A6826A HBA is compatible with HPUX/Linux platforms with various types of HP Arrays which includes XP array.
