BIOS & Power profiles in HP OneView v1.05
A question from Svilen on HP OneView v1.05
***********
I have few questions here:
1) If we want to change the server profile BIOS settings from “Manually Managed” to managed by One View, should turn off the server before that? I`m talking about version 1.05?
2) If we want to change the power profile in BIOS, should we turn off the server?
The OS is ESX 5.1.

Response from Shigeru:

Hello Svilen,
Yes & Yes
In OneView 1.05, the following attributes of Server Profiles can be changed while the server hardware is powered on:
・profile name
・profile description
・the requested bandwidth of an existing connection
・the network or network set used by an existing connection You have to power off if you need to change other attributes.

And from Vincent:

Any BIOS setting change requires booting the server to Intelligent Provisioning to actually make the change, so during that time the server OS cannot be running of course
