Error 404 after the installation of SPP for Proliant MicroServer Gen8

Hi,

after the download of the SPP for Proliant Server (i want to use it with Windows Server 2012 R2), i mount the SPP and copy the files to a bootable USB-Stick.

After the start of the server i press the F10 button to start "Intelligent Provisioning". The program starts and began automatically with the update. It shows a white screen with a message "Transfer data from 12.0.0.1" and "Waiting for 127.0.0.1" at the bottom of the screen for several hours.

After that the display change to "404 Not found" at the top of the screen and without any chance to do something except the restart of the server.

How can I see that the update was successful or an error appears?

Thanks

Did you use the intelligent provisioning ISO for that?

Hope this helps!

Torsten, can you explain what exactly that is?  All i know is i searched for and found the latest HP SPP .ISO i could find, which was from February of 2014, i had been using the September 2013 one before and it worked flawlessly.

Not 100% sure what you did,

but here is the ISO for IP:

So is there a different .iso for an IP boot versus a direct boot from DVD?  All i did was burn one given .iso (not sure which, or if there are in fact different ones) to DVD and tried to boot to it, then exhibited the error described above.

Re: Error 404 after the installation of SPP for Proliant MicroServer Gen8

What exactly is the goal?
Updating firmware?

Then boot the SPP 2014.02 (B) ISO (no need to start intelligent provisionig for that).

Hope this helps!

Yeah that's all, updating hard drive firmware.  That's what i'm saying though, booting to that .iso burned to a DVD is exhibitnig the error above.  What's the best way to boot a .iso on an HP box other than a DVD?

Oh my bad!  I guess that's why it's bad form to hijack threads.  i didn't fully realize what the first questioner was having trouble with.  Next time i'll start my own!
