Insight Manager / OA modules will retain their configuration should the power supply be removed??
Steve had a power question:
******************************
I wonder if you can help with query raised to me from within the company earlier today.
I have been asked how long Insight Manager / OA modules will retain their configuration should the power supply be removed. This is related to preconfiguring some chassis prior to deployment into the Data Centre.
I am struggling to find specific help via the web and I have also submitted queries to message boards etc but any help would be most welcome and appreciated

Every OA module stores all configuration data in either battery backed NVRAM and some in FLASH to ensure the configuration is not lost if all power is removed from the enclosure. The battery on the OA module is designed for years of operation including keeping the OA real time clock running.

I hope that this helps and provides what you need. Any comments?
