Onboard Administrator KVM Concurrent Users Support
Kiran had a KVM and Onboard Administrator question:
**********************
Hi Experts,
The OA KVM feature available on the c7000 enclosure will help in connecting to an external KVM capable hardware such as the KVM switch. The OA by itself will not provide the KVM functionality.
Can you please confirm if my understanding is right?

Monty is the man with the answers:
*****************************
The OA Enclosure KVM feature provides
- an Enclosure KVM full screen menu detailing all the servers in the enclosure with health state, UID state and power state and server name
- The ability to navigate with the KVM keyboard to change the server UID state or server power state
- The ability to select a server console by selecting the server name
- The ability to select and use the Insight Display using the KVM monitor and keyboard arrow and Enter keys. One example use would be for connecting the enclosure DVD media to one or more servers.
- The ability to select and use the OA CLI commands
You can connect the OA KVM ports to an external KVM switch, the only difference in operation is first selecting the port connected to the enclosure KVM connectors, then using the Enclosure KVM feature as described above.
Only one person can be using the Enclosure KVM feature and the enclosure Insight Display is blanked while the Enclosure KVM feature is active.
