Onboard Administrator and DNS ping

Jean-Denis had a customer question regarding the OA network:

My Customer's  DNS Admin team is wishing that we stop pinging the DNS each minute. Is it possible (or increasing the interval ?)  

Also will there be a  potential side impact if they block the icmp ping from OA to DNS ?

If the customer blocks the ping to DNS you will find  a log message the first time in the syslog mentioning of this failure, and every first time it detects after an OA reboot.

This was meant to be help customers identify if there was any  mis-configurations/DNS server issues. There is presently no knob to turn this off.
