BL460c Gen 9 and Cisco B22 FEX compatibility question
Nelson was looking to connect a c7000 BladeSystem into a Cisco network. He had this question:
**************
If we configure the 6125 XLG in Transmit mode, is there any features difference compared with B22 FEX for BladeSystem? Can it still support port aggregation, trunking and VLAN with Nexus 5K?
I.e. comparing
C7000 Enclosure 6125 XLG (Transmit mode) <----> Nexus 5K FCF/NPV <----> Nexus 7K FCoE <----> FCoE target
Vs
C7000 Enclosure FEX B22 <----> Nexus 5K FCF/NPV <----> Nexus 7K FCoE <----> FCoE target
Thanks!

Please find the command parity between HPN 6125XLG switch and Cisco Nexus.
Defining trunk, Link-Aggregation and Bridge-Aggregation is very much possible.
However, as you know B22 is the Fabric Extender and not a Switch. It just extends the Nexus 5k/6K ports using VNTAG.
However, as the configuration document shows, it will be possible to meet the Customer need to get connected to the Upstream Nexus 5K/6K, but not in the way Cisco Wants to Interoperate.
Hence, please look at what customer wants to achieve and what the HPN 6125XLG can do.
Hope this helps.
