Support strategy for the Cisco Catalyst Blade Switches
Dave had a question on our support strategy with the Cisco blade switches:
****************************************************************************************************************
What is the support strategy for the Cisco Catalyst Blade Switch 3020, 3120G and 3120X?
The customer is asking whether they should get the firmware etc directly from Cisco or from HP.
I have checked our websites and we have firmware 12.2(52)SE (14 Dec 2009) but release Notes only up to 12/2(50)SE.
If you check the Cisco site, they have Release Notes for 12.2(52)SE and even 12.2(53)SE

Steve gave some guidance:
****************************************************************************************************************
The Customer can download the IOS firmware from either. Whichever is more convenient for them. Our posting of the FW usually lags Cisco by about a month due to internal HP processes.
The delay in updating the release notes is apparently an oversight and I have asked that be corrected.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention. Anyone else having troubles getting Cisco firmware?
