Additonal Info on Insight Power control.
A question from Earl and his customer:
*****************
With the BL465's the hard drives are installed one behind the other - in other words, you only see on drive when looking at the front of the chassis. The second drive is seated behind the one you see. Our question/concern is what if the drive behind the one you see fails? Are there any light indicators on the front of the server that will go amber to alert us in the event HP SIM doesn't? This is more of a concern with the
BL465 as they do not have the ability to configure a 3rd drive as a hot spare on our RAID 1 arrays. There have been times, where we caught a failed drive by seeing the amber light on the chassis.

You can look at this link to show a picture of the internal, 'second drive light indicator'

Good info. Does this work for you?
