BL870c i2 connecting with a LTO tape drive
Hi Experts,
We have to connect an external tape drive (LTO4 / LTO5) to our new BL870c i2 Box, running HP-UX 11iv3 VSE. FC HBA is available on this box. What is the best solution? I was checking for a LTO- 5 External tape Drive with FC interface, but I am not able to find the same. SCSI and SAS interface are available. We dont have any free device bays to use the HP Tape Blade. We are planning to use fbackup for the filesystem backup.
I can see that HP 1/8 G2 LTO-5 Ultrium 3000 Fibre Channel Tape Autoloader is available with FC interface. Is this the only cost effective solution available? Please advise...
Thanks in advance..
Pramod
